About the Author
Paul Madison is a person of mixed racial heritage, born to an Indian mother and a father of Sicilian/Italian. His parent’s meeting during World War II, with his father serving in the US Army and his mother in the British Women’s Army Corps, marked the beginning of a turbulent family journey that included his parent’s divorce in 1968. Raised primarily by his father, who battled alcoholism and neglect, the author carried responsibility for caring for his younger siblings from a young age. .
Despite financial hardship, he found solace in baseball, playing daily with friends and siblings, and developed a deep love for music, particularly enjoying crossover pop stations like WFIL. Through strength and determination, he goes through adversity, finding joy and connection among challenging circumstances, a testament to the lasting power of passion, friendship, and personal strength.
